Weston Road Animal Hospital is always interested in qualified candidates for Client Services, Veterinary Technician, Technician Assistant and Kennel Attendant positions. 

SALARY: Dependent on qualifications and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS: Team player. Positive attitude. Strong work ethic. A minimum of 1-year prior experience in the veterinary field is required for technician and assistant positions. Bilingual preferred, but not required.

Client Services:  Our client services staff is primarily responsible for serving as the first impression of our hospital. They greet all visitors with a warm smile and friendly, helpful attitude. They direct and coordinate daily hospital activities, perform record keeping duties and clerical duties related to patient care and client service. This includes answering phones, booking appointments, accurate collection of fees, client education on routine and preventive healthcare, and promotion of our services and products for optimum pet healthcare.

A qualified candidate must be computer literate, have excellent communication skills, and a willingness to work as a team player. Knowledge of Avimark is a PLUS! We will gladly train a candidate with the right attitude on our procedures, protocols, products and computer system. 

CVT/Experienced Veterinary Technician/Veterinary Assistant: Candidate needs to be enthusiastic and patient with animals of all species. They must maintain a strong work ethic and dedication to high quality standards of patient care. Attention to detail and ability to follow directions while multi-tasking is a MUST! Candidate must also be reliable, punctual, work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings & Saturdays.  

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: obtaining detailed history on patients, client education, restraining cats, dogs and exotic species, running fecal samples & in house lab tests, administering medications, drawing blood, positioning patients for x-rays, performing routine dental cleanings, set-up & assisting in surgical procedures, monitoring anesthesia, maintaining medical records, cleaning and disinfecting work areas.

Kennel Attendant: Candidate must enjoy spending time with animals and have basic knowledge of animal husbandry and behavior. Job duties include walking, bathing, brushing, feeding and medicating pets in the kennel and grooming areas, daily sanitizing of the boarding facilities, laundry, and other duties as assigned. Kennel staff will also occasionally assist veterinary technicians with restraint and treatments of hospitalized pets.
